Machine Operator (extrusion operator)

Job Duties:

• Setting up and preparing the extrusion machine for production runs, including adjusting settings, installing dies or molds, and ensuring proper material feed.
• Monitoring the extrusion process to ensure consistent and accurate product output.
• Controlling and adjusting machine parameters, such as temperature, speed, and pressure, to optimize production and meet quality standards.
• Loading raw materials into the extruder and ensuring proper material blending or mixing, if required.
• Monitoring and inspecting the quality of the extruded product, checking for defects, dimensional accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
• Conducting regular maintenance and cleaning of the extrusion machine, including removing and replacing components, lubricating parts, and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
• Troubleshooting process problems or equipment malfunctions and making necessary adjustments or repairs to maintain production efficiency.
• Recording production data, such as material usage, machine settings, and production rates, to maintain accurate records and facilitate process improvement.
• Following safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and their colleagues.
