Welders

Welding Duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
• Perform Mig Welding using FCAW/MCAW methods
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
• Repair worn metal parts through welding on extra layers

Fabricator Duties:
• Interpret fabrication drawings, install fitted parts, temporarily connect them
using tack welding or other approved methods
• Move material manually or with the help of mechanical means
• Assemble and fit metal sections and plates to form complete units or
subunits, using tack welding, bolting, or other methods
• Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines: plasma cutting,
cutting torches, grinders, drills, etc.
• Install fabricated components in final product
• Maintain work area clean and safe
• Follow company’s Health & Safety policy
• Ability to lift 50lbs at a height of 30in
• Knowledge of fabrication, welding processes and safety standards
• Attention to detail

Qualifications:
• Journeyman certificate, or CWB ticket, or eligibility to challenge a red Seal as
a welder, fabricator or boilermaker
• CNC machine experience in plasma cutting an asset
• Must provide own transportation after 11pm in Guelph

Schedule: 4:30PM – 3:00AM (4 days per week)
