Position Overview:
Primary responsibility is to ensure the safe operation of multiple manufacturing lines during a 12-hour shift.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop strong knowledge of all systems in the plant.
- Perform visual inspection of containers.
- Make the necessary adjustment to the process ensuring the best quality product is produced.
- Confirm correct material used as per protocol.
- Monitor and minimize scrap through accurate record-keeping and appropriate segregation.
- Keep the machines and area clean at all times.
- Assist the shift mechanic when the machine is down for repair, mold change, preventative maintenance, etc.
- Identify and prevent the possible causes of problems to ensure non-occurrence.
- Know the whereabouts of other team members at all times.
- Assist in other areas of the plant including training in and operating other equipment (e.g. BlowMould, Extrusion, Injection, etc.) if required.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications & Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge and understanding of all safety aspects related to machines and auxiliary equipment operation
- Familiarity with container processing
- Ability to start up and shut down production and auxiliary equipment systems
- Proficiency in maintaining and understanding the function of production and auxiliary equipment
