- Complete daily preventative maintenance sheets as required.
- Maintain Mould carrier assembly.
- Modify moulds based on Engineering Change Notices.
- Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance.
- Repair Moulds in shop and inline as required.
- Work with tool room equipment, saws, lathes, mills, surface grinders, drill presses and hand tools.
- Inspection of lifting devices prior to use.
- Perform tool readiness inspections for trials on new Moulds.
- Performs other duties deemed necessary by the Process Engineer/Technical Manager.
Specific Requirements:
- EHS: Follow all defined and communicated Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.
- BOS: Learn and execute function-related BOS requirements.
- Information Security: Follow defined requirements for information security and confidentiality of
YFAI information. - Certification in TIG welding or proficiency in micro welding would be an asset.
- Experience with grained tool surfaces would be an asset.
- Experience with electrical wiring as it relates to mold heating equipment.
- Experience with hydraulic cylinder and hydraulic hose repairs.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Capable to lift 50lbs
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certificate of Apprenticeship Completion
- Certificate of Mould Maker 431A from related technical institute’
- Licensed forklift driver and overhead crane
